VPN for Android phones: installation and 3 settings
Ben's VPN for Android is on Google Play and on this page as an APK file (Android 10 and newer). The Android version can exclude selected apps from the VPN. The iPhone version has no such setting.
Other systems: all downloads · Yandex Cloud mirror

3 download sources: Google Play, the APK file and the mirror
- Google Play. In this version, the purchase window sells Google Play subscriptions. Restore purchases recovers a subscription paid through Google Play on another Android device.
- The APK file. It is the same app for phones without a working Google Play. Open the file after the download. Android may require permission for the browser to install apps.
- The mirror. It stores a copy of the APK in another storage. It is for cases when Google Play and the APK link do not open, or the file downloads slowly. Its link is under the buttons.
Huawei phones without Google services install the same APK. Sign-in and payment on them are described on the VPN for Huawei page.
First connection on Android in 3 steps
-
Open the “VPN” app
No registration is needed. On first launch, the app creates a guest account tied to this phone.
-
Tap Connect
A new account has no plan yet. The button therefore opens Buy Ben's VPN instead of connecting. Choose a subscription in that window. For a plan you paid for earlier, use Already have a subscription? → Sign in to account.
-
Confirm Android’s request
Android asks you to allow a VPN connection the first time you connect. Confirm the request. The card then shows the location of your connection.
3 settings that exist only on Android
-
Apps that bypass the VPN
The list appears under the address field when Tunnel is set to Manual. Select apps opens your installed apps. The apps you select connect directly, without the VPN. Android 12 and older may apply a long address list only in part. A notice then shows how many entries took effect.
-
Battery saving
On some phones, battery optimization stops the VPN in the background. Tap Add to exceptions in this section of Account → Settings. Android then excludes the app from battery optimization.
-
“Block connections without VPN”
This Android option blocks the internet for everything you exclude in Tunnel. The app shows a warning about it in the same window. Disable the option in the Android VPN settings to use exclusions.
Plans with no device limit
You can also pay on this site by card or in cryptocurrency, without Google Play. Sign in on the phone with the e-mail address from checkout. Every plan includes all countries.
Bonus months come with purchases on this site. Refunds follow our refund policy. Send the request within 14 days of payment.
Android questions
Support 24/7: the chat on this site, Telegram @bensvpn and [email protected].
Where is the app after installation?
The icon label is “VPN”, not the full brand name. Find this label on the home screen or in the app list.
The app says “Another VPN is active”. How do I fix it?
Android keeps only one VPN active at a time. Disable the other VPN apps in the phone VPN settings. Check that none of them is set to always on. Then connect again.
Can my Android TV use it too?
Yes. The TV version is on the same Google Play listing and also comes as a separate APK for TVs. The TV signs in with the 8 digits from Account → Sign in on another device on the phone. Guest-account codes do not work on a TV. A phone without a linked e-mail needs Link e-mail first. Details are on the VPN for Android TV page.
Do I need a Google account?
Only for installation and payment through Google Play. The APK installs without a Google account. In the app, use Sign in with Email or Sign in with code, and pay on our website.

The trial costs $0.50 and opens all 187 countries and every app. After it, the plan renews at $5 a month. You can cancel the renewal from your account at any time.
