VPN for Instagram: keep one country for your account

The Instagram app and instagram.com open through a server in another country with Ben's VPN. Choose one location for Instagram and stay on it. Instagram checks where each login to an account comes from. A steady location makes extra login checks less likely.

3 steps: install, connect, choose a location

  1. Install Ben's VPN

Download it from the App Store on iPhone and iPad or from Google Play on Android. Phones without Google services can install the APK file. Install the desktop app for Windows or the macOS app for instagram.com on a computer. There is also a Linux version of the app. Any browser on that computer then opens instagram.com through the VPN.

  2. Tap Connect

The Buy Ben's VPN window opens first, because the app does not connect without a subscription. The same button connects you after you pay for a plan there.

  3. Choose one location and keep it

Tap Location and choose a location for your Instagram account. It then appears on the server card of the main screen. Connect uses this location every time you tap it.

If Instagram fails on one location

Sometimes Instagram fails on one location while other sites open normally. The feed stops refreshing, or an upload restarts again and again. Get new IP addresses in the same location before you change the country.

Open Account → Settings, find Server Replacement and tap Replace Servers. The IP addresses change in every location, and the list of locations stays the same. Other devices on your account may need to reconnect after that. Choose a location in a neighboring country and keep it if the new addresses do not help.

Plans with no device limit

Use the trial to test which country suits Instagram on your connection. All countries of the regular plans are open on the trial. The trial is available to you only once.

Bonus months come with purchases on this site. Refunds follow our refund policy. Send the request within 14 days of payment.

5 questions about Instagram over a VPN

Support 24/7: the chat on this site, Telegram @bensvpn and [email protected].

Instagram asked me to confirm that it is me. Is the VPN the reason?

Possibly, because Instagram re-checks logins from a new place. A new location in the app looks like a new place to Instagram. Confirm the login the way Instagram asks, and keep that location afterwards. The Previous tile in Change Location returns the old location after an accidental switch.

Will Ben's VPN run on a Huawei phone that has no Google services?

The same APK file installs on a Huawei phone that runs Android apps (Android 10 and newer). The purchase window on these phones shows the plans from our website. You can pay for a plan there without Google Play. More details are on the Huawei page of this site. Contact us through Support in the app if something does not work on your model.

I run several Instagram accounts. Do I need more than one subscription?

No, one subscription covers all your Instagram profiles. Ben's VPN works for the whole device, not for one account in an app. Every profile you switch to goes through the same VPN connection. A second phone or an iPad can use the same subscription too.

Can I still tag the real place in a post or Story?

Yes, you choose the place tag yourself in Instagram. The VPN changes only the IP address that your connection comes from.

Does the subscription cover other apps too?

Yes, all apps on the device use the VPN. The exception is traffic that you send around the VPN under Tunnel. Some apps have their own pages here, such as VPN for YouTube and VPN for TikTok.
