Prices in dirhams
Online shops, delivery services and booking sites often set currency, prices and offers by country. The UAE location shows you the version for the Emirates. Use it to compare prices or to plan a move there.

UAE apps for residents abroad
Some UAE apps and sites work only in part on a foreign network or do not open. The UAE location gives them an Emirati address again. Connect to it before you open the app. A service can also check data other than the IP address, so results differ between apps.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar need their own location
A service for Saudi Arabia or Qatar checks for its own country. An Emirati address does not pass that check. Choose the location of that country for such services.
The UAE and 7 neighbouring countries in the app
The app has 1 location for the Emirates, named UAE. Our list of countries shows the same location with the label Dubai.
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and Egypt are separate locations. One subscription includes all of them, and you can switch between them at any time.

Install the app

Open the location window
Press Location under the server card on the main screen to open the Change Location window.

Search for “UAE”
Expand the list of locations and type UAE in the Find location field.

Choose the UAE
The app connects to the UAE as soon as you choose it. An existing connection to another country moves to the UAE. The option Automatically connect when changing location is ticked by default.
Choosing the UAE without a subscription only saves the location. The plans are in the Buy Ben's VPN window, which Connect opens in that case. You can also sign in to another account with a paid subscription from this window. In a guest account, the window starts with Already have a subscription? and a Sign in to account button.

Can I get an Abu Dhabi address instead?
No. The UAE location has no choice of emirate or city.
How do I switch from the UAE to Saudi Arabia and back?
Press Location and choose Saudi Arabia in the list. The app switches at once while automatic connection is on. Previous in the same window returns you to the UAE.
What changes if I untick automatic connection?
Choosing a country then only changes the saved location. The app shows “Location will change the next time you connect to the VPN” while the VPN is on. Disconnect and connect again to move to the new country.
Will sites in the Emirates switch to Arabic?
Some sites choose the language by IP address. An Emirati address can open the Arabic or the English version first. Many of these sites also have a language switcher. The VPN changes only the address that sites see, not the language of your browser or phone.
