VPN for TikTok on iPhone: install it, then choose a country

Install from the App Store

Open the app and tap Connect
No registration step is required before the first connection. You start in a guest account tied to this phone. The Buy Ben's VPN window appears when you tap Connect without a plan. Choose one of the App Store subscriptions listed there. Tap Sign in to account in that window if you subscribed on our website or on another device.

Allow the VPN configuration
On the first connection, iOS asks to add VPN configurations. Tap Allow and enter your passcode if the phone asks for it.

Choose a location and restart TikTok
Tap Location and choose a location, or search for it in Find location. Choosing a location also connects the phone when you have a plan. This follows the Automatically connect when changing location setting, which stays on until you clear it. Close TikTok in the app switcher and open it again. TikTok then uses the new connection from the start.
TikTok estimates your region from 3 signals
The TikTok privacy policy names 3 kinds of data for estimating where you are:
- the region of the SIM card;
- the IP address;
- the system settings of the device.
A VPN replaces only the IP address. With a local SIM card in the phone, some regional behavior of TikTok may stay the same.
A laptop has no SIM card. In a browser, TikTok relies mostly on the IP address of the chosen country. The setup is described in VPN for TikTok on a computer.
Unstable connection, revoked permission, other devices
- Unstable connection. Open Account → Settings and run Find working server. The check takes up to 2 minutes. The app retests your server and issues new IP addresses for it. Multihop is enabled only as a last resort.
- Revoked permission. The app shows a System permission required card when iOS no longer allows the connection. Tap Grant permission on that card first. If that does not help, delete the app profile in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management. Then connect again, and iOS asks for permission once more.
- Other devices. The same account works on Android phones, and TikTok on Android describes their setup.

Is there a way to subscribe without the App Store?
Yes, plans are also sold on our website. After payment, open your account page and press the button that shows a sign-in code. In the app, tap Connect and then Sign in to account in the Buy Ben's VPN window. Choose Sign in with code and type the code from the site.
Will the same plan work on my iPad?
Yes. Install the same app on the iPad and sign in to your account. Get the code on the iPhone under Account → Sign in on another device. On the iPad, tap Connect → Sign in to account → Sign in with code. A guest account on the iPhone needs a linked e-mail address first.
What happens to my subscription if I reinstall the app?
An account with an e-mail address keeps its plan after a reinstall. Sign in again: tap Connect, then Sign in to account in the Buy Ben's VPN window. This works for App Store and website payments alike. For a guest account, use Restore purchases in the same window. It restores an App Store subscription on the same Apple ID. A reinstall can remove access to a guest account. Before you delete the app, link an e-mail address under Account → Link e-mail.
Does the VPN also cover TikTok on mobile data?
Yes. Mobile data is covered the same way as Wi-Fi. None of the plans has a traffic limit. Account → Statistics shows the traffic of the last 30 days.
