VPN with a server in Singapore for travel in Southeast Asia

Keep Ben's VPN on Singapore for a trip through Southeast Asia. Your accounts then see a single country in every city of the trip. The server also stays close to you anywhere in the region.

Singapore for the whole trip: fewer checks, a nearby server

  • Fewer “new sign-in” checks

Mail, shopping and work accounts often ask for an extra code after a sign-in from a new country. They see 1 country instead of 5 while you stay on Singapore. This setup does not remove every sign-in check. A service can still recognise a VPN address and ask for a code.

  • A nearby server

Singapore is close to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. A nearby server usually answers faster than a server on another continent. The speed is still limited by the local network you use.

7 more Asian locations nearby

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia and Hong Kong also have locations in the app. A local service needs the location of its own country. A shop that delivers only within Thailand, for example, needs Thailand while you shop. The app connects through 1 location at a time.

3 steps before you fly

  1. Link your e-mail

At first launch, the app signs you in to a guest account on this phone. Open Account and press Link e-mail. A linked e-mail keeps your access to the subscription if the phone is lost or reset.

  2. Add the laptop

The sign-in code is on the phone, under Account → Sign in on another device. That screen shows an 8-digit code that expires in 3 minutes. On the laptop, sign out of its guest account and choose Sign in with code.

  3. Choose Singapore on both devices

Choose Singapore under Location on each device. The app saves this location until you choose another. On the road, press Connect to start the VPN.

Travel questions about Singapore

Support 24/7: the chat on this site, Telegram @bensvpn and [email protected].

My phone was stolen on the trip. How do I sign in again?

Install the app on the new phone. It starts in a new guest account on that phone. Press Connect and choose Sign in to account at the top of the window that opens. Sign in with your linked e-mail and the 6-digit code sent to it. The account page on our website also gives a one-time code for the app. A guest account without a linked e-mail stays on the old phone.

Why does the Fastest tile sometimes choose another country?

Fastest connects you to a location near you. On the road, that can be a different country each time. Choose Singapore in the list to stay on it.

A service from home does not accept the Singapore address. What can I do?

Switch to your home country for that task. This works if your country is in the list. The Previous tile then returns you to Singapore. Each switch is 1 choice in the location window while automatic connection is on.

Can I keep the VPN on all day on the road?

Yes. Traffic is unlimited on every plan. The Account → Statistics screen counts it for the last 30 days.
